CAUTL Aide™ exists to help store owners and their staff stay on top of Unflavored Tobacco List compliance. You scan a barcode or search a product name, and it tells you whether that product appears on our copy of the CDPH Unflavored Tobacco List. That is the entire service. It reports what our copy of a public list says.

It does not inspect your shelves, does not know your inventory, does not track your licence status, and does not tell you what the law requires of you.

The service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be available without interruption, that our copy of the list is complete or current at any given moment, or that a verdict is correct.

Barcodes can be misread. Products can be added or removed between our copy and yours. Some products on the official list carry no scannable barcode at all and cannot be found by scanning. Always confirm against the official list before selling.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BonVon LLC is not liable for any fine, penalty, citation, licence action, lost profit, or other loss arising from your use of — or inability to use — this app, including any loss arising from a verdict that turns out to be wrong.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. For most users that is at most a few months of subscription fees.

You agree that the responsibility for compliance rests with you as the retailer, and that you are not relying on this app as your sole means of meeting it.

Our copy of the Unflavored Tobacco List is updated within one hour of CDPH publishing a new or revised UTL. The version and publication date currently loaded are shown on the Account panel so you can check for yourself rather than taking our word for it.

Pro is $4.99 per month. It renews automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time from the Account panel — cancelling stops the next charge and leaves you on the free tier.

Payment is handled entirely by Stripe on Stripe's own pages. We never see or store your card details. Because the service is delivered immediately and continuously, fees already charged are generally not refundable, but if something has gone wrong get in touch and we will sort it out.

We store your name, your email address, and a phone number if you choose to enter one. We store a count of how many scans and searches you have used, so the free tier can be enforced. That is all.

We cannot see which products you scan. That history stays in your phone's own browser storage. Scans and searches are never sent to us and we cannot see them — not even the people who build this app.

Card numbers. Payment happens on Stripe's own pages; card details never reach this app or its servers. Camera images are decoded on your device and never uploaded. We collect no location data, no contacts, and no advertising identifiers.

We deliberately do not ask for your store name, store address, job role or retailer licence number. Information we never collect cannot be lost or misused.

Stripe receives your email address so a payment can be matched to your account. Our email provider receives your address to deliver sign-in links. Our hosting and database provider stores the data on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising.

Under the CCPA you may see, correct, or delete what we hold. You do not have to ask: Download my data and Delete my account are on the Account panel. Deleting cancels any subscription first, so you are never left paying for an account that no longer exists. Exercising these rights never changes your price.

Use the app to check products. Do not scrape or bulk-extract the product list, resell access, attempt to bypass the free-tier limits, or interfere with the service. We rate limit requests and may suspend an account that abuses it.

We may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do, and continuing to use the app means accepting the current version. You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
