CAUTL Aide™ exists to help store owners and their staff stay on top of Unflavored Tobacco List compliance. You scan a barcode or search a product name, and it tells you whether that product appears on our copy of the California DOJ Unflavored Tobacco List. That is the entire service. It reports what our copy of a public list says.

It does not inspect your shelves, does not know your inventory, does not track your licence status, and does not tell you what the law requires of you.

Pro is $4.99 per month. It renews automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time from the Account panel — cancelling stops the next charge and leaves you on the free tier.

Payment is handled entirely by Stripe, on Stripe's own secure checkout page. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never reach this app or its servers. We never see or store them. Because the service is delivered immediately and continuously, fees already charged are generally not refundable, but if something has gone wrong get in touch and we will sort it out.

Not what you scan. The camera image is read on your phone and never uploaded. The barcode it reads is sent to our server to be checked against the list — it has to be, that is the lookup — but it is never written down, never logged, and never attached to you. Your scan history lives in your own browser, and clearing it on the Account panel erases it for good.

Anonymous page counts. We use Vercel Web Analytics to see which screens get used and which are ignored — page views, the kind of device, and roughly which country. It sets no cookies, does not follow you to other websites, and cannot tell one person from another. It never receives a barcode.

Your email, if you subscribe. Stripe collects it on their own page along with your card, and passes us the address and the fact that you have paid. We never receive or store card details. We never ask for your store name, address, or licence number, and there is nowhere in the app to enter them.

We do not sell any of it, share it for advertising, or use it to profile anyone. If you have an account you can download everything we hold from the Account panel, or delete the account outright — which cancels any subscription and erases your details.
